Curious Recycler: What happens to solar panels if they stop working or are damaged? Can they be recycled?
Icon Solar often gets questions regarding how we recycle damaged or inoperative solar panels. It’s a valid one, especially when we claim how environmentally friendly it is. Let me explain…
Icon Solar gets a lot of people thinking that they’re better off with wind power because it would run when the sun’s not up or out. Sure, it’s effective and has benefits, but it has more downfalls out here in lower Indiana, Ohio, and northern Kentucky than solar power does.

Icon Solar is excited to be a community sponsor for Ohio River Foundation to bring the Wild & Scenic Film Festival to Greater Cincinnati! Join Icon Solar and ORF for an evening that will educate and inspire.
The theme for 2019 will be “Farm Your Yard” to promote gardening activities with the City of Blue Ash, Gorman Heritage Farms, Greater Cincinnati’s Green Umbrella’s Food Action Team, the Civic Garden Center of Cincinnati and other environmental education groups in the Tri-State. Over 125 exhibitors, local music, local vegetarian foods, and Madtree Brewing Company’s craft beer will make the festival one of the best environmental education events in the region.
The Green Icon Expo is a localized environment and sustainability event, organized by Icon Solar. The second Green Icon Expo will be held at the Cincinnati Observatory. With Cincinnati’s focus on sustainability, there is no better time than now to educate the public on what exactly that means and how they can make an impact themselves. And that means to work together as a team to make that happen!
