The Green Icon Expo is a localized environment and sustainability event, organized by Icon Solar. The second Green Icon Expo will be held at the Cincinnati Observatory. With Cincinnati’s focus on sustainability, there is no better time than now to educate the public on what exactly that means and how they can make an impact themselves. And that means to work together as a team to make that happen!

Marsapalooza! (July 28, 2018)

33965438_1813870535333136_4827102263526817792_nAs Mars moves to the evening sky and Earth passes between it and the sun, it will be nearly as bright red as it was in 2003, almost twice as bright as Jupiter… but not as bright as the sun! We’re ecstatic to sponsor this evening of Marsapalooza! in a fun evening of celebrating and viewing Mars!

After 26 months, the Red Planet is back. Mars, always a crowd favorite, will be the featured planet for a two-night viewing extravaganza at the Cincinnati Observatory called Marsapalooza.

The Cincinnati Observatory will open its doors and telescopes to the public while Mars is closer than it has been to Earth since 2003. There will be talks about Mars, tours of the buildings, and viewing through the historic telescopes (weather permitting).

The Moon, Saturn, and Jupiter will also be observed.

No reservations needed for either night.

Admission: $10/Adult, $5/Child, $5/Observatory member
Great for all ages.
